Tamil Nadu, India

Ooty officially known as Udhagamandalam also known as Ootacamund, is a city and a municipality in the Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km north west of Coimbatore and 128 km south of Mysore and is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district. It is popularly and lovingly called Queen of Hill Stations and Western Ghats. Its coordinates are 11.4102° N, 76.6950° E. Ooty is most famous for its tea plantations. Some of the famous tourist places in Ooty are Avalanche Lake; Ooty Lake is indeed a place to visit.
